A leaked document has disclosed that b/gas is going to increase it's prices by £100 a year, they plan to announce it when we get the first cold snap of the winter.

All the Big 6 are talking about an increase of 8%-10% before the winter bites. Best to budget for an extra 10% for gas this winter compared to last year. 10% increase in price of raw product is blamed for increase - but the amount they have to pay for social reasons (those who cannot pay) and renewables (seen these wind turbines grinding round slowly in gale force winds?) must be swelling the bills too. :-(

im always in credit as i add layers :-D and only put the heating on if the littleones home

I have gas and elec from British Gas

They wanted to put one of the direct debits up from £22 a month to £38 a month

What annoyed me is that one bill is a little bit in credit but they did not offer to reduce that direct debit.

So I am not surprised if the prices go up

I use bottled gas and have recently had to put the heating on, as Autumn has come.

Yesterday I ordered some more, the first time since May, and was surprised - and pleased - to be told the price had gone down. Not by much, but every little helps.
