An American pastor was riding his classic Harley-Davidson bike along a California beach and thinking to himself how good God had been to him, when suddenly the clouds in the sky parted and God appeared and spoke to him from above.

In a booming voice God said - Because you have been a good man and a good pastor and served me in many ways, I will grant you one wish.

The pastor pulled over and said to God - Build me a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride over there anytime I want.

God said to the pastor - Your request is materialistic, think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking; the size of the pylons required to reach to the bottom of the Pacific and the concrete and steel it would take to construct them. Imagine the impact on the environment to undertake such a monumental construction. Think of the enormous cost of building such a bridge, I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for such a materialistic thing. Take a little more time and instead please think of something that could possibly help mankind.

The pastor thought about it for a long time.

Finally, he said to God - I wish that I, and all men, could understand what goes on in women's minds; I want to know how women feel inside, what women are thinking when they give you the silent treatment, why they cry, what they mean when they says nothing's wrong, and how a man can make a woman truly happy..........................












God said to the pastor - Do you want two lanes or four on that bridge to Hawaii? ;-)

Researching:
I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty. I am also researching the Clusker family from Co. Meath in Ireland who moved to West Lothian and from there to Fife............"Vita non est vivere sed valere vita est"
