This must be one of the most insensitive speeches that I have ever heard from a politician :-|

Boris Johnson says the UK economy has "finally reached its Costa Concordia moment", adding "the keel is off the rocks and at last we can feel motion beneath

John, I posted this thread to voice my disgust at The Mayor of London using events related to the Costa Concordia for political purposes and as such the thread is not about the British economy, George Osborne, or any other politician.

It is about the appropriateness of using events surrounding the Costa Concordia, a ship in which some thirty-two passengers and crew perished.

So don.t bring other issues into it :-|

John can you NOT READ @ 13:57 - 18 Sep 2013 I said;-

"John, I posted this thread to voice my disgust at The Mayor of London using events related to the Costa Concordia for political purposes and as such the thread is not about the British economy, George Osborne, or any other politician."

Just in case you cannot read here is what I said in capital letters

!!! AS SUCH THE TREAD IS NOT ABOUT THE BRITISH ECONOMY, GEORGE OSBORNE, OR ANY OTHER POLITICIAN !!!

Now be a good little boy and go and play your silly stupid games elsewhere.

John it is obvious from your last two posts that the only person who is playing games on this thread is you as you try to hijack this thread and do what you have done on many other threads, wreak havoc and generally cause trouble.

You are so pathetic, and true to form, so just go away and play your sad pathetic infantile games elsewhere.

Thank you John - Getting back to the thread, my reason for posting it was not to have petty rows with you John, it was not to discuss Boris Johnston as what I think of him is not relevant, it was not to discuss the UK Economy, it is solely about whether or not it was insensitive for a senior UK political figure, to use metaphors making light of events related to the Costa Concordia, to score political points.

I don't think the families of those that lost loved ones as a result of events related to the Costa Concordia would find the remarks he made amusing.
