Son bought a gadget some weeks ago and brought it here today and demonstrated it. It is an electrical peeler - did not cost a lot - he finds it useful for peeling spuds/apples and thick carrots which he cuts in half. All he has tried so far.

I did buy him some time ago an electrical chopper for onions etc - he finds this useful also.

We have a cheese board with three nails knocked through from the back, cut off to about three quarters of an inch and bent in a bit.

With this Fred can impale a potato and peel it with one of those peeers that look ike a catapult

Good idea Sharron but son has difficulty in using any type of peeler nowadays.

I have a good peeler, easy to hold, no problems.

I use the chopper thingie that came with the stick-mixer a lot... easier than trying to chop loads of onions......... less tears & easier on my swollen knuckles.

At the weekend we had a hankering for spinach triangles....... I forgot how fiddly they are! I made 72. Yes, 72. Could hardly pick up a coffee mug afterwards :-(

If anyone knows of a gadget that will fold filo pastry, please let me know. :-D
