My son bought me FTM 2012 from Amazon in July it included 6 months Ancestry Premium for £29.50.
I hope to buy another as a followon.

I've just upgraded from Essential to Premium and new 12 month for Premium was £107...Mine starts October 5th.....LES...

If the Ancestry stall at WDYTYA still give a discount, it will be worth London catchment members visiting it.

Even after entry fees and train tickets, you'd still make a saving!

I entered the www. address for co.uk clicked on both subscribe and Find out More towards the bottom of the page - both give the amounts quoted.

Edit at 4.48 - well blow me down! Just checked again - got the yearly sub back and it's gone UP! I'd be really mad if I had been trying to subscribe in the middle of all this. Going to need a Double Discount next year!

Yes - I posted then thought I'd better check - those are the prices I found which match with what I paid a few weeks ago. The 'save £48' is the difference between monthly payments and a one off. It defintely says £155.40 for WW.

On top of that I got a discount because I went to WDYTYA this year.

When I renewed in April it was £155.40 for WW less discount they gave me now they are saying £199

I still have at least another 6 months so not worrying at the moment

Ancestry.com and FamilySearch to Make a Billion Global Records Available Online
Groundbreaking Agreement to Deliver Valuable Historical Content Over the Next Five Years

PROVO, Utah, September 5, 2013 — Ancestry.com and FamilySearch International (online at FamilySearch.org), the two largest providers of family history resources, announced today an agreement that is expected to make approximately 1 billion global historical records available online and more easily accessible to the public for the first time. With this long-term strategic agreement, the two services will work together with the archive community over the next five years to digitize, index and publish these records from the FamilySearch vault.

The access to the global collection of records marks a major investment in international content as Ancestry.com continues to invest in expanding family history interest in its current markets and worldwide. Ancestry.com expects to invest more than $60 million over the next five years in the project alongside thousands of hours of volunteer efforts facilitated by FamilySearch. “This agreement sets a path for the future for Ancestry.com and FamilySearch to increasingly share international sets of records more collaboratively,” said Tim Sullivan, CEO of Ancestry.com. “A significant part of our vision for family history is helping provide a rich, engaging experience on a global scale. We are excited about the opportunities it will bring to help benefit the family history community and look forward to collaborating with FamilySearch to identify other opportunities to help people discover and share their family history.”

The organizations will also be looking at other ways to share content across the two organizations. Both organizations expect to add to the already digitized records shared across the two websites in addition to new record projects to be completed over the next five years.

“We are excited to work with Ancestry.com on a vision we both share,” said Dennis Brimhall, President of FamilySearch. “Expanding online access to historical records through this type of collaboration can help millions more people discover and share their family’s history.”

This marks a groundbreaking agreement between the two services. But the two organizations aren’t strangers to working with each other; hundreds of millions of records have already been shared and are available on Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org. The companies also announced in early 2013 an additional project where they plan to publish 140 million U.S. Wills & Probate images and indexes over the next three years—creating a national database of wills and other probate documents spanning 1800-1930 online for the very first time.

No, I can´t get the annual premium rate up either.
I think last year it was about 109 pounds sterling & I paid about €130 ish.
A friend has just cancelled her membership because she can no longer afford to pay for it. She asked about a loyalty discount as she had been a member for 5 or 6 years, but was refused.
Ah well!!!

Cannot seem to get annual fees up but premium is £79 for 6 months and worldwide is £99 for 6 months but someone did say yearly WW was £199.99 so it works out the same

Had seen this mentioned on Rootschat over the weekend & i wondered too whether Familysearch was going to disappear.

Hi everybody..I know it's not this site but a lot of you are also with Ancestry UK...They will shortly be intoducing about 1 billion records onto site...My cousin is a priest in the Mormon Church and has a lot to do with their Genealogy side of things...He has told us that last Thursday a deal was signed for a period of 5 years between the Family Search site and Ancestry .Co to release millions of records held by the Mormon Church... All these records will be available to Ancestry members...Regards....LES...
