My 3 year old grandson falls asleep by rubbing my daughter's - or his 11 year old sisters ear lobes.
Last week I was told by said 3 year old, that my ear lobes aren't up to scratch :-| :-P
3 year old informed by me (neither his mother nor sister being here), if this is the case, he must therefore get himself to sleep post haste. :-| :-| :-| :-|

Granny does a great harrumph and walks off.
(granny likes harrumphing, 'cos that's what I do) :-D

Oh the feel of that little head nestling into your neck -ummmmmmmmmm

been and had lot's of cuddles this morning,she is opening her eyes more now,
when her mum was talking she seem as though she was looking for her,i didn't hand her over,just could not bring myself to,well I will have to wait until sunday before I can get my hand's on her again.

why do babies smell so lush.

Congratulations Sue, someone to brighten your life after the difficult times you have had.
I can't wait to be a real Grandma, altho have had practice with my o.h.'s two little ones recently and having childminded for years did get to play a few silly games as well as those with my own son.

Your little Millie will know how much you approve of her dear little face by the sound of your voice and the smile in your eyes as you talk to her, chipmunk cheeks or not.

I spent the morning surrounded by 120 four and five year olds.

Came home from work at lunchtime to nearly two year old grand daughter who had been looked after by grand dad all morning.

He promptly went off to the pub leaving me in charge.

I have watched endless Peppa Pigs, been led up and down the garden, sat on the floor and played with her Mummy's old My Litltle Ponies and Uncle's Fisher Price Airport and farm. Been covered with spaghetti sauce and yoghurt, washed hands, changed nappies and been generally bossed about for five hours.

Mum has now been and taken her home. I am exhausted. Would i change it ? Never in a million years.

Being a Grannie is the best thing ever. Congratulations and enjoy every moment.

I think it's absolutely delightful the way young children don't differentiate between adults and their little friends when it comes to playing :-D :-D

Lyndi it's when you have to go into a cage with loads and loads of balls and try and keep your balance then the fun starts :-D

There is absolutely no doubt that your quiet life will be turned upside down Sue. I now look after 2 year old granddaughter while her mum works. We went to the local carvery for our tea - they have a soft play area and I had to go up to the rescue a couple of times :-)

Yes of course we would all babies are beautiful just some more than others. It's when you look at photos in about 20yrs time then you can have a laugh but hey not now ;-)

Yup - we grandmas all have - enjoy. You will be able to go down slides, on swings, make gingerbread men, daft dances, play dough and colouring books - not because you are having fun - oh no - you are putting yourself out to entertain your grandchild!!! Congratulations <3

well you may not be aware but I have become a grandma for the first time,

now I am not saying I am bias but some call my beautiful granddaughter millie,
chipmunk cheek's,like all babies she is a bit chunky around the cheek's,only being 2week's old she is allowed to be like this,
I think she is beautiful and tell her not to listen to them.

do you think I am going round the bend or would you do the same.
