Space allocated for changing rooms takes away storage or other teaching facilities. Unless a new Primary School is still at the Drawing Board stage, I can't see space for single sex changing rooms being found. Come to think of it, they are still communal, so remarks from other girls will still occur! |

Dizzi, I work in a primary school where the classes are split as follows. P1-3 P4-5 and P6-7. On the day there is pe, the girls go to the girls cloakroom and boys to their own, At no time do they get changed in the classroom unless its just to put on trainers or pe shoes. |

Dizzi that's not fair on your g/daughter she is being almost discriminated on or at least being pointed out as different (sorry that sounds silly but can't think how to put it) . Cousin had a boy and girl .... immediately one got to the age of 10 they were given a bigger house as they could not share a bedroom so this rule should be enforced in schools ...Think it's very wrong of the school. Cloakroom/class room should be used if not enough teachers get the admin staff/head teacher or someone to supervise for 5 mins. I would complain very loudly especially about g/daughter |
