It's very scary landing there because the runway is the shortest in Europe. Banana is not our favourite beach, George. We love Eleni and Elias but they are all lovely. We stay in Agia Paraskevi. The church has two hundred steps up to it - we counted them. Fortunately, the sky was overcast on the day we did it. I hated the film but the scenery was amazing.

My younger son is on Skiathos at the moment. He and his wife discovered it many years ago and go every year in September.

You can fly direct to Skiathos from UK. They fly from Bristol.

That sounds wonderful Annie, the scenery is fabulous in Mamma Mia, would love to see the church, is it really that far up a hill?

Well, I don't want it to get crowded! It's Skiathos. They filmed some of Mamma Mia there and some on the neighbouring island, Skopelos, where the church for the wedding in the film is. It really is the most beautiful place we've ever seen.

We've just come back from a tiny greek island - six miles by four miles - with over sixty beaches. We went to the same place last year and I think we'll be there next year too. Fabulous!
