young son thought he see a mouse in the kitchen last night
so i have put 3 traps down near the cooker vent.

im siting at the PC with my back to them
when older son comes in i see him walk behind me and then

SNAP :-D i look round as older son yelps and his big toe tuck in the mouse trap

Cats are the only way to eliminate mice and they are usually toe safe.
If you can detect one mouse there will be lots more you can't. Traps should be placed well out of the way of human toes and fingers.

My senior cat will give my big toe a nip if his breakfast is late though.

I always feel sorry for the mice, wasp's nest and whatever other creature's life is upset but human co-habitation with some species can only go so far as they tend to push the line too far e.g. ants. Mice are really up against it but BBC Nature has yet to do a program in favour ....

We 'have' a very tiny mouse living in our garden hedge, has been there for about two years, and it's fun watching it dangling from a nut feeder, it never runs away if we approach, it's cute.

But last week OH chased away a neighbour's young black cat he'd found sitting right underneath the hedge. So not seen Mickey/Minnie for quite a few days :-(....hope it's just gone on it's hols. :-S :-)

Apparently the best thing to put on the traps is peanut butter, it calls to them better than cheese so you should catch any mice around quickly.

We had a little mouse in the garden, he would come out and steal the hedgehog food I put out, whatever it was, I have lots of pics but haven't seen him lately. O.h. finds signs of them in his garage and says it smells of mouse, but this little one is always alone so not sure where it lives. Haven't seen it lately but we have a neighbour's cat that visits so could have been the end for our little visitor.
