No he didn't.

I would be just as sleepy if I had had a bit of trauma.

He is still a bit sleepy and didn't go on the bus again today but he is 93 so I really can't expect miracles.

he has been out round the village, past where it happened.

Sharron Report 4 Sep 2013 17:11

His foot was bleeding last night but, because we had a community nurse coming for a blood test this morning I left it for her to dress.

He was up and doing the washing but the call of the sausage sandwich was not strong enough this week. He stayed at home and went to bed at two.

He was very pale and slept heavily until about 4.45 when I asked him how he was. He got up then and I asked him if he was going out for a while because he didn't want to risk losing his confidence.

He told me to F*** Off.

His mate came in and asked him if he fancied going round the estate to see if there were any plums to be had.

He said he might as well and that is where they have gone.

The first thing that came in my mind when I read this was It was sausage sandwich day. I hope Fred will be okay and am so relieved he still managed to get his much loved sandwich.

What a man! :-D

He said just now that his foot hurt and he was not going out today but the nurse has since been and dressed it so he may well change his mind.

The call of the sausage sandwich is very strong.

Sharron Report 4 Sep 2013 07:49

Well yes,the sausage sandwich is sacrosanct.

I didn't call the out of hours in the end because I have a community nurse coming today for his blood test and he wasn't bleeding much.

He is breaking fast at the moment.

I really think Fred would be a good character for a comic strip!!!!

The Adventures of Fearless Fred and his gang

Sharron Report 3 Sep 2013 20:29

He took it in his stride. It was other people who wanted to make a production of it.
