A week ago Thursday I had my little dog out before going into work, time 7.00am. Lovely walk until a beautiful year old black Labrador hit me at full force spun me round and I fell to the ground. The grass was soft so landing also soft but I had a ruptured hamstring. Ooooh! the pain I have been in since. Ambulance to hospital given entonox and told by the ambulance man not to bear down. I have been at my daughters until today the first five days on morphine. Couldn't sit on the loo, spit my mouthwash down washbasin absolutely stupid things you take for granted :-D :-S. Elaine.

Sounds very nasty, Elaine. So many dogs, and so many seemingly out of control these days.

Hope you are mending nicely and you can do some of the things you normally take for granted.

I have been wondering where you'd got to Elaine, so sorry you have had so much pain and difficulty getting about etc I am glad you have someone looking after you. I am assuming others have had to take the dog out and look after your o.h.

Hope you recover soon, haven't you got another holiday booked or am I getting muddled?

Take care and hope things improve from now on. Are you insured?

love

An old saying Killing a nest of robins is supposed to be very bad luck. Np holiday until December as my sisters OH has to have a by pass op. The dog was just running and didn't see me until the last moment, just one of those things we dog owners have to put up with when the dogs are playing. Had the dog tried to savage me, that would have been a different matter, he was just young and daft. Up and about now but it still hurts. Thanks all. Exx
