Well I got a call at 10:30 this morning from this company. Indian call centre.

They asked for Mrs M - so told them their info was 12 years out of date.

Then they wanted to speak to the owner. Well I never give my name so asked what company.

Really did not like answering that one but did manage to find out it was to do with renewable energy.

Because I was not answering their questions the phone got put down.

They have phoned me before and got told to take my phone number off their records.

So watch out for 0844 3760 105

It will be a call centre.

The system works for many now that unless they get a 'person' answering the phone and not an answer machine it will just hang up.

It is all done by computers.

I would not worry, I know it's a pain, but as long as the answer machin kicks in everytime, you do not even have to talk to them.

And as many call centres are based overseas, the Phone Preference system does not work on them.

And why would you want to waste your own money in calling them back? Everytime they call you and your answer phone kicks in it costs them money....

Does this simply mean they do not take incoming calls ?

Some one has phoned me at least three times this week and as soon as the answer machine clicks in they put the phone down.

I dial 1471 and get the number. When you ring it there is a message that says the phone number is not in service.

Driving me mad.

Looked at whocallsme and different opinions as to who it actually is that is making the calls.
