Poor neglected Fred

I was cleaning Fred's razor yesterday, which is about the extent of my caring!

Although I can't find much wrong with it and it's performance, he insists he needs a new one. Previously I have gone on-line and bought him one without asking any more of him but this time I have become even more nasty.

Well, he has thirty pounds a week in pocket money which, I might add, is considerably more generous than he ever was. Alright, so it is his pension money but what has that got to do with anything.

He doesn't spend all of his money on fine dining and there is well over a hundred in his secret store so I told him he had better get off into town and get himself a new razor then.

Don't know if he will go today.

I expect I will be here being questioned by the social services.

OH was going around Sainsbury independently of me and picking up razor blade refill packs at £9 plus and his simple soap products and putting them in the trolley for me to pay for at the checkout .
I put a stop to that saying I don't ask you to buy my toiletries so buy your own

He huffed about it but does now go to Superdrug to get his own supplies

Cheeky devil :-S

When he first came home from hospital with just his left hand still working his electric razor was a bit dodgy so the silly old sod tried to give himself a wet shave.

I those early days, my attitude to him was met with some suspicion anyway so you can imagine how the carers must have read it when they came in to find him covered in blood.

Have you tried letting it go completely Flat the recharging it? that usually renews the life of the battery, also you can get a set of new cutters and mesh, much cheaper than a New Razor. Other than that, Buy him a "Cut throat one" he can use that on his Sausage Sarnies as well. :-D :-D :-D

Sorry been out taking OH to the dentist for his new knashers

OH uses a Gillette razor with the cartridge type refills . He finds the electric razor doesn't give a close enough shave,

Even though he has hand shake he is still able to have a wet shave .

I did look into buying new wibbygizzers for one of his razors but it turned out cheaper to buy a whole new razor.

It will get him out to go into town and, all the time he is spending his money on new razors, he can't afford to find another batty old woman for me to have to chase around the village looking for.

You are not as green as you are cabbage looking, are you Sharron? (one of my late Dad's sayings)

You sure know how to put the excitement into Fred's life and how to stop him in his tracks lol

He is going into town tomorrow as he has his previous appointment today.

Yes, it is here again! Sausage Sandwich Day!

We have decided on the same model as he has now because I can take it apart easily to clean it and it is half price in Argos.

I will do the order today and send them in with the number tomorrow. New razor, then short roll round to Wetherspoon's for his lunch.

Argos is a new place for him to visit. We have had the I can't go there, I might not be able to get in scenario, just like we have had with every other new experience. I just hope he doesn't like it so much he starts wanting to get something in there every week.

I really don't want him covered in Argos bling, ears pierced several times, creole ear-rings!
