Except perhaps that his manners left a bit to be desired ;-)

OMG!! my dad would have kept the fish and chips and dished it up for tea!!! and breakfast and lunch till it was eaten!

All men are the same ...I,ve given up cooking coz they always change their minds ...go out get on the phone or moan about what it is

funny I have noticed they often cook what I was going to do if left alone and then they cant moan

BUT they do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reading all these makes me realise how lucky I am. OH doesn´t go to the pub or if he does I go with him and then he either cooks or buys out. When I tell him what time dinner is or ask when he wants dinner is he is there, If I am busy on phone, computer etc he will start and finish dinner. He always sets the table and often helps cooks.

Uzzi, you really got a keeper there, and I am so glad you have, you deserve a good partner. Long may he continue to cherish you and treat you fairly.

That's another thing about o.h., up to the loo just as I dish up! I am never sure if it's for a secret swig of cider or the real reason, haven't found his latest hiding place for the cider, but haven't really bothered to look. I have decided if he wants to muck up his diabetes even more or drink himself to an early grave, then get on with it. Just need him to make a will, he hasn't done it properly yet but says he has left me a tidy sum....... I don't want to die before him or wouldn't get my pay off lol! And I want to be well enough to spend it as well lol

Uzzie hang on to him. My husband number 2 was the complete opposite to husband number 1. He loved to cook and produced complete meals including yorkshire puddings . He carried the shopping, opened doors, held my coat and after his retirement helped with the housework. He was very romantic and bought me flowers etc. sadly he died 22 months ago and I miss him very much but I am so pleased I met him and realised that they aren't all like husband number 1.

Mine tries very hard but he grew up in a home of pose and show and I grew up with the mad woman so I suppose we are doing as well as can be expected.

At least he is not a serial adulterer like old Nylon Knickers was!
