UzziAndHerDogs Report 21 Aug 2013 18:07

She arrived on the 30th July without a return date, as long as she was home before the 5th Sept. ! With the hike in flight prices next week and the want to do some serious catch up with friends, we booked her flight home for tomorrow morning.

Being as shy as she is and also the fact that she had her own "flat" it has taken awhile to get to know her. I hadn´t seen her since she was 4 and OH has only seen her twice in that time (admittedly one was last May). I also missed out on time with her because circumstances put her in her Uncles time more than mine (as it should be).

The last couple of days we have all spent time together (although she is with OH at work now ) and all I can say is

I am going to miss her.

For a 14yr old she has been an absolute diamond. No demands, no complaints, no sulks or tantrums. Just a model guest.
Our biggest complaint was it took us a long time to even find out what food she enjoyed, let alone things to keep her occupied.
Still we will know for next year when she will be out again ..this time bringing friends to keep her company.
Will I be ready for 3 not 1 but THREE 15yr olds ...lol.

I am gonna miss her though <3

Mind on the 3rd Sept I have her 16yr old brother and his mate out for 9days, trust me there will be rules laid down there.
Then in November we get a visit from OH´s Mum and elder sis for a few days. (they are also visiting MIL´s bruv.
Funniest of all will be in Jan when niece`s Mum (OH´s baby sis) come for a weeks visit (as that is OH´s birthday pressie and it´s all hush hush). So that will be the whole family in 6mths. :-0

Can´t wait for niece to be out again tho´ ;-) who would have thought it ?

Ad that all good things have to come to an end. But she is taking lovely memories home and you have next year to look forward to. I hope the sixteen year old boys are as easy.

Safe journey to your niece tomorrow. :-)

I am glad that you enjoyed having your niece to stay Uzzi and hope the boys won't upset the applecart too much, a firm hand will be needed perhaps with two of them to get into mischief.

Let's hope all your house guests are as amenable lol

Enjoy the time before the boys turn up to think of some house rules

Take care

Here's a suggestion lol

Home Rules:

If you sleep on it ... make it up.
If you wear it ... hang it up.
If you drop it ... pick it up.
If you eat out of it ... put it in the sink.
If you step in it ... wipe it off.
If you open it ... close it.
If you empty it ... fill it up.
If it rings ... answer it.
If it howls ... feed it.
If it cries ... love it!

Uzzi, that's wonderful. :-D

We have 20 nieces & nephews (plus another 2 children of my cousin, we class them as niece & nephew) and 6 great nieces & nephews.

Some of them are more than welcome to stay with us :-D <3

The others make their own rules :-(
