The lady was quite dismissive of her former pupil. I said that the books were quite light and she replied "I am not surprised" |

Thanks Jemima. Have never read any of her books myself (being almost illegitimate :-)). But perhaps I will now. I note she was originally from Hopkinstown, where Cwm Rhondda saw its birth (see Christian thread) |

Elaine Morgan also wrote for television. She adapted the 1975 version of How Green Was My Valley for television. Also- The Life and Times of David Lloyd George (1881) among others. |

One of my customers was an elderly lady who was very pleasant and quiet and extremely intelligent. She died last month aged 92. Spotted her photo in local paper with a write-up. She was an author. Elaine Morgan. |

I was looking at a book in my local supermarket yesterday when a lady asked me if I had read any of the author's books When I replied that I had she said "I taught her several years ago". |
