Who else watched this?

It intrigued me because it was set in New Zealand and the child's name was the same as Huia's sister otherwise I might not have watched it. I had to steel myself as some of the scenes as I hate violence and such but it was very hard to follow at times, and I wasn't sure what I expected at the end.

I would have liked a few ends tied up more tho, I like neat tidy happy endings lol

I watched the first two episodes and wasn't keen, and have the others recorded but can't persuade myself that they are worth watching. Are they?

I didn't like the first episode much,Liz, but as am very nosey I continued watching and it got better and better! It was very 'dark' and disturbing and entertaining at the same time. And to see Holly Hunter (one of my favourite actors) striding around with a long grey wig and the figure of a boy and spouting occasional 'Grasshopper' (anyone remember him?) homilies, was a sight to behold.

The main menacing lead was, I think without looking it up, a British actor called Peter McMullan? Fantastic actor.

I am going deaf I think as I missed some of the roundup at the end,and forgot to put subtitles on, but got the gist.

Dark I don't usually do so still not sure if I will watch it before we go away. :-)

It was dark, a little confusing with so many characters in one family and step family but intriguing as well.
I wished I had used subtitles as there were several instances when I missed the words, and had to rewind to listen again, and my hearing is generally ok.

I find that a lot lately (maybe my hearing isn't as ok as I think) background music often dulls the spoken word or accents and soft voices make me miss something, it's very annoying.

Give it a go Ann, be like me and BC, nosey enough to keep watching to see where it goes.

It was Peter Mullan, BC He is a good actor. There was a detective in the cast who used to be in Neighbours - Stephen Lovatt, who played Max Hoyland in the mid 2000s.
