I received an email from a researcher on my family tree. Apparently my ancestors were paying tithe tax to the Paget family on the Cannock Chase. She goes on to say that three of the brothers were in trouble, they were still putting their sheep on land that they can no longer use, the enclosure act is been enforced by the Paget's on this area. Besides William; I presume his brothers? the word, "EXORY" I don't know the meaning of it. I have tried the on line dictionary but arrived at nothing. I was hoping that someone had come across this unusual word Exory. It would seem that it may have baffled us all.

Just guessing that it's an abbreviation for Executry i.e the job of being an executor in a will. (Executors is often shortened to Exors.)

When I did a Bing search I got a load of dodgy looking sites so did not click on any of them.

Think some caution needs to be exercised searching for that.
