I've never signed in on there.

Mind you, I have never tried to look at original images of US records.

I do look at original records for the UK, when possible.

I find I often have to sign in if I want to view the original images (when available) for US records, e.g. marriage records.

I find it extremely easy to use, though I must say I preferred the old system where you could go from house to house along a street, and as people didn't seem to move far from their place of birth in those days, you could pick up relatives in nearby houses and streets

I never sign in

Have just tried it without my new user name and password and, as AnnC says, you can get on.

Bit puzzled now as there is a box in top right saying "Sign In" and then it asks for user name and password. Don't think I would have filled that form in (Tuesday night, I think) if I could have got on normally.

I never have to use a password to get on the site

I tried to go on usual Family Search the other night and failed. I had to eventually fill in quite a complicated form and now have totally unmemorable passwords to get on the site.

I suppose they have to tighten security. But yet more passwords for my little book by the side of 'puter :-( :-(

Err just tried the "old" way via that link Thelma, that's not the OLD one that I used to use !!!!

As far as I'm aware the old / original one re familysearch / igi, is no longer available.

Joan.

see you have two postings on this - it's very easy to use - just bring the website up, click on "Search" at the top and then fill in the information
