I got a black eye through walking into a door in the middle of the night on the way to the loo (honestly!), and managed to artfully disguise it by altering my eye make up every day to match the injured one. Nobody at work noticed! ;-)

Could you put some mascara and rouge round the other eye so it doesn't look so obvious?

Sounds like you are in better spirits today despite looking like Frank Bruno on a bad day. Hope OH's back is a bit better :-) :-)

AFTER YESTERDAYS FALL I THOUGHT I GOT AWAY WITH JUST
A FEW BRUISES TILL THIS AFTERNOON,I GOT A REAL
BEAUT OF A BLACK,BLUE AND PURPLE EYE,
HARD SEEING OUT OF HALF SHUT EYE
