Poor woman, and the poor animals that had no choice! Feel very sorry for the PC.

I read the story this morning on a news website... they should get a decent proof-reader, the headline said she was decomposting :-0

Oh that' s awful about the cats being eaten instead of rabbit. I can't even stomach rabbit since I had a pet that 'disappeared' when I was young.

I read about that poor woman, so sad that she wasn't missed for such a long time. I do hope she died quickly and didn't lay there suffering not being able to make contact with anyone. You can't blame the poor cats tho.

May she rest in peace.

Other way round here in Menorca.
The Animal Welfare charity are seriously concerned about the number of cats which are disappearing & no corpses are found.
They fear the recession is causing people to kill & eat them.
Apparently the flesh is like rabbit, which is widely eaten here & most people can´t tell the difference when it´s on their plate.

How awful to think this lady was once a baby in her mother's arms with people around who loved her.

To die alone is bad enough, but to have no-one worry about you not being around for weeks on end is so very sad. :-(

If that had been me then I would not have minded if my animals ate my body to stay alive to have least given them the chance to be rescued. After all my body was of no use to me by that stage.
