I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty. I am also researching the Clusker family from Co. Meath in Ireland who moved to West Lothian and from there to Fife............"Vita non est vivere sed valere vita est"

Not a very good start to the baking day went to make something which started of with 3/4 lb sugar and 1/4 pt water.. ok got sugar and water mixed , thought that doesn't look right had put in 1/2 pt water now as recipe needed 3/4 of grd almonds I only had that amt so shh! binned sugar/water got the correct amts and mixed till sugar melted. got together 2 pkts of almonds put them into bowl and mixed and found one pkt was coconut (well same sort of pkt ugh!) ....sooo made some macaroons came out nice not quite right as have 2 trays of macs all run together but taste very nice, but the question is what to do with 3/4lb sugar and 1/4 water already mixed?? don't want to throw it out so any ideas please :-S
