you may recall that a few weeks back while mowing the lawns I ran the mower over a nest and got badly stung - well I zapped the nest with Wasp nest destroyer foam - well mowing the lawns again I saw that they had set up home in the same nest again, so I've just given it another blast - the cheek of it :-S

They do tend to go back to the same site. My parents had a conifer in the garden that the wasps nested in a few years running. They only stopped them by taking out the conifer. I'm not suggesting you dig up the lawn, though. That would be a bit drastic!

somebody i know covers the nest at night in petrol
and sets them on fire

sounds cruel to me :-( :-(

Maybe if you turned the roadsigns round the other way or removed them altogether, a bit like they did in WWII, that'll do the trick

Waspintor is a total load of poo, I tried two they made no diffrence whatever even when left up the next year so it was there from the start of the season!

I hate wasps, if I ever get a turn at being God like the Jim Carrey in "Bruce Almighty" they will be first on my extingtion list!

Oh I know they prey on garden pests ya di ya di ya, but so do lots of other things that don't try and climb into your coke can, I've hated them since one few into my shirt while riding a motorbike (me that is not the wasp don't think he could have operated the kick start) :-P :-P

I've found both the spray and powder from Renokil work well, but for the spray to work you need to be able to saturate the nest from outside if its just a hole the powder is best.

I hate wasps. I got stung for the first time years ago and went clammy, faint and was breathing fast. It only stung the end of my little finger and it swelled up so much and my arm ached all the way up for about 24 hours. I avoid them like the plague now. :-(
