yes I know it´s the name of a song and yes we all singing it now
but yesterday or more like last night I had a visit from a couple of thieves.
How do I know there was only 2 ..because they only took 2 bikes (not the 3rd)
I know they were not just chances because the main bike had it´s rear wheel off (yes that has gone also) and it wasn´t obviously with the bike.

My little Mini kicked up a storm last night but I thought it was just cats (again). I should have realised it was a different shout but I was still asleep I didn´t.

We have now moved everything out of reach ..not that the bikes were in reach as they were behind a 6ft wall which was climbed, but everything is under locks.

I am a little upset about my bike as I bought it 5years ago 2nd hand and last night thought I really ought to either clean it up and use it or get rid of it ,,,never ridden it so rusty chained etc etc and a difficult ride as the pedal bars are weird that I will recognize it again. I am not that upset about it´s loss ...and OH has given me carte blanche that if they come back for the 3rd bike I am allowed to go and hit them in the head. ( I am re stringing crossbows and oiling airguns ) :-D

What does upset me is the fact that some tw*t climbed over my wall and stole from me. Now that really annoys me, it also freaks me out slightly :-S

Can you make the wall higher in some way, put something along the top to protect it? Get a CCTV type camera?

Ann we can´t make the wall higher ..part of the community etc but what we will do down that part is a motion light already have ready to install, I am tempted cctv but to be honest these idiots wanted the bikes, because there was a lot more saleable stuff stashed around the corner. Gas BBQ plus gas bottles (one full). It´s all under lock and key now but it all was out of sight before.
The bikes to be honest need a lot of TLC on them to make them saleable they have been stashed for 5yrs in the open. I have an idea who and will wait to see if they come back for the 3rd bike.

How did they know they were there though?

They either jumped each wall and checked or they have access to the houses behind us. The one thing I know is they couldn´t have got down the driveway, and I know by the marks they came over the back wall.
The bikes were tucked out of sight of the gates and an interesting fact was Oh´s bike didn´t have his rear wheel attached and it wasn´t with the bike but it went. (it was behind the BBQ)

sounds corny, I know but how about a length of string along the wall. with tin cans and pebbles in them, as they used to do in jungle films??

Fools,,,,,,,they must have taken the bikes out a gate and not over a 6ft wall ,,,,,,,so why not come in that way in the first place,,,,,,,,,,,,,dim wits. :-D

Kay they lifted the bikes over the wall, there is no way they could have got down the drive nor could they have got passed my dog, my bedroom and my dog by coming up the drive, or going down the drive. Trust me they lifted the bikes over the wall.

Bob I think they have what they wanted, fool of me to leave them out. Once I sort my "garden" out, I will have not only lights but alarms and maybe cctv. My fault for thinking they were safe. My fault also for not listening to my mutt part of me is thinking all sort of horrible stuff but as said I think they have what they want.

I will protect my 3rd bike mind just because I want to beat **** out of them :-D and OH said I can :-0
