Uzzi you have my sympathy my Granddaughter turned fourteen in May. Last year she would eat anything , especially loved any sort of fish. Now she is so fussy and no longer likes fish. Just ask your niece what she likes to eat.

Barry she is living on Alpen through out the day ..I can´t feed her that at night ! can I ;-)

Geordie meatballs in sauce is a great idea ( I just got to remember how to make decent meatballs lol ) mind I can´t do that tomorrow as she only had spag bol yesterday.

Det I had been giving the chunky chips with bacon and melted cheese a thought but didn´t fancy the oven on too long ....I forget I now have a full size full wattage oven instead of my mini oven where they take 40 mins to crisp up. Now that could be an idea as she does eat a few chips with baguette !

Keep the ideas coming in.

How about Yorkshire Pudding with whipped cream squirted over and topped with strawberry jam?

I think you can buy the small frozen YPs that are heated in four minutes (according to my packet, anyway!)

Find out who her favourite current popstar is.
Cook what you would normally eat but try and theme it and give it a name that can be related.
BIG cool points for Auntie Uzzi.
At that age, "sophisticated" works too.
Toast is not toast. It is thin strips of evenly yet lightly grilled dough with a light pureed dip harvested from the fruit of the season.
Jam on toast works for me.

If that doesn't go down too well give her dry bread and water for a week and she will soon come round lol

Chilli?
Jacket potatoes with something - weight watchers say they are OK if not too large.
Home made (with lean meat) burgers + bun and salad.

Chunky ovenchips - scrub a large potato and halve length ways. Cut each half into 3rds making sure that there is skin on each segment. Par boil or microwave for about 5 mins. Sprinkle with oil and seasoning if liked and place on a hot baking sheet and bake for about 10-15 mins. You could melt cheese on top as a main course light meal, or serve as a vegetable.

.... sounds just like my son, Uzzi!

Oh, did I mention he's 37? (and a half!)

He'd always settle for cereal, regardless the time of day.

Perhaps your niece will like fries with that?

Good luck. Your mission ......!

My grandchildren have always loved meatballs with pasta! Whether they be home made or shop bought, with my own sauce or from a jar, they've always gone down well! :-D

Okay I need ideas to feed a 14yr old niece.

We have done the pizza (several times by choice). I have fed spag bol, and salmon with salad ..Salads I do with fruit on them. Curry and rice.

Things to remember
It is hot here and I really don´t want long oven times.
Niece doesn´t eat things that look like meat ie chicken legs or steak
according to Mum she won´t thank you for anything on bread (but I know she will eat a baguette :-D )
She doesn´´t eat tomatoes (uncooked) or mushrooms in any form. oh and the 1 veg that we both eat ( me and OH) she doesn´t which is peas.

I do have plenty more fish and salad ideas ..sea bass, trout and all that but I a looking for different ideas. I will cook veg that I don´t eat but that makes cooking for just the 2 of us awkward.

So ideas please

Oh and niece like any 14yr old is on a diet ! :-0
