Those involved may already be aware of this.
I am trying to change my phone provider without much success at the moment.
My original provider took my passport number & my ID number when the contract started.
They are now telling my new provider that my passport number is wrong.
That´s because since I took out my original contract, my passport has expired & my new one has a different number.
All sorted now, but be aware that if you have a contract for anything, & you have renewed your passport since taking it out, you will need to provide both old & new numbers if you want to change anything.
Oh the joys of being an ex pat.
My OH can get into England just with his ID card.
I have to have my passport to get back into England & my passport AND ID to get back into Spain.
How do illegal immigrants manage it?

its easy to get into this country
you just go the the french boarder
and they wave you through :-(

Never thought of that.
OH always goes by plane, sitting next to me.
He isn´t even English by birth like I am.
I must appear to be a very shady character.

You have to use your passport because that's all UK nominated for identification as there's no ID cards issued in UK.

Countries with ID cards can nominate them as forms of ID within EU boundaries therefore OH can travel on his ID and you have to use your passport. :-)
