I am new to this family search scene and wondered if someone could give me some advice. I have been looking at birth records and see that the mothers maiden name is given. How can I find out if any children were born to a marriage and full details of the fathers name of a particular person. is the only way to obtain a birth certificate for the person I am interested in? |

You will do much better with this kind of question to post on the "Genealogy" or "Find Ancestors" boards. |

As Rollo said, general queries about tracing family history are better posted on the Genealogy Chat board. If you need help with a specific person or family, post on the Find Ancestors Board. Read the threads at the top of the boards first as these give a lot of info that will help you and read through some of the other threads, to give yourself an idea of how people can help. |

Thank you all so much for your help. My parents have recently passed away and I have since found out that my father was married previously and that there is a strong possibility that I havef brothers and sisters :-) |
