Don't anybody go into Chichester to see him today.

I must be going soft, I have re-arranged his appointment for Thursday.

My auntie does, but after a very hard life, she probably deserves it :-D

I am going to be one of those who is happy to have everything done for them.

Actually I am pretty much like that now.

In my experience, a stroke traps the person in a body that won't do what you want it to do anymore.

The personality of the person will either mean they accept the disability and the fact they can't do certain things or find ways and means of working around problems as they arise.

A relative of mine is content to live with her disabilities and quite enjoys being helped with everything............another says I can't walk, but I can still crawl and does just that.

Fred, with you prodding him all the way, has found wonderful ways of getting round his losses :-D

Well, if you can be in Chichester this afternoon, if I don't cancel due to the rain, your dreams could come true.

Sharron I do enjoy your stories Fred sounds a wonderful character. I would love to meet him.

pmsl Sharron, you just have to write that book, hope you can retrieve all the stories and quips you have written on these boards alone, they would make great reading for stroke patients, carers and even those who don't have a connection with the problem, a best seller for sure!

Just think, you could then sit back and reap the rewards, hire someone else to do the organising lol

Come to think of it, he never used to wash up or do my washing before the stroke.

I remember him crashing about in the sink with the crockery once and thinking he was going to wash up but he was getting some water because his shed was on fire.

I think he is brilliant and good on him for being the same old Fred even with his disability.







All thanks to your caring and not letting him get away with owt attitude and he is oh so lucky to have you behind him to kick butt every now and again.

Just imagine what he'd be like without his disabilities! He'd be ruling the world - awesome! :-D

Oh! Sharron that is lovely that he can be like that and all thanks to you :-)

I have always said that having a stroke has only inconvenienced Fred and not turned him into a different person.

He is going into town to have his eyes tested tomorrow, with his mate.

On Saturday night, when his mate was going home, I heard Fred telling him he needed to be at our house before twelve tomorrow. He is lucky to have him come at all.

This morning I threw the washing down the magic chute (stairs) to where the washing fairy takes it away to deal with.

It wasn't long before the washing fairy was bellowing up the stairs , demanding that somebody come down and go down the garden with him to peg it out.

I had better get his pocket money down to him before he starts asking for interest!
