SuffolkVera and Jax,
Thanks

I thought within a 30 mile radius of Newmarket they would have had rain.

Smeone on another site I use said "No rain or thunderstorms here my garden is that dry it's like a desert.""

Why a 30 mile radius?

If it's any help I am just outside your 30 mile limit. We had heavy rain on Saturday evening, didn't have any yesterday but have had some thunder (no lightening) and some short but heavy showers today.

Thunderstorms etc. are often very localised so what we get here can be very different to the weather a couple of miles down the road.
