Right

I can understand the gaffes when its" live ad lib" subtitles,

but these newsreaders and weather forecasters, surely thats a script?
Doesn't much of it come off Autocue?

and the subtitler should have a copy.??? or am I being too sensible?

"There will be a line of clothes moving southwards."

Love the stupid sub titles. However, as one who sometimes relies on them because of hearing difficultiesa, I wish they would find a way of making them more idiot proof.

The word recognition gaffes are very diverting when you stand in a queue lol, I still laugh at the one on tv which should have said something like

' 5 pupils at the school have been excluded"

but came out as

"5 pupils at the school have been exploded" :-)

In the local branch of Barclays a few hours ago - watching the TV with the subtitles when they reported on long waiting times at customs in Gibraltar - what they should have said was "travellers are enduring queues" instead of "travellers are injuring Jews" :-D
