I've read about that Von - amazing thought isn't it? So much we don't know - so much more to discover. :-) |

Unless your ashes are rocketed into space we all return to the soil to join everyone who has lived before us. |

I can't honestly say it's a concept I have given much thought to Sharron, possibly because I believe that we are all a 'one off' - and unique to boot!! :-D |

Well I'm counting on there being something more after death, and if I'm honest this kept me going after my husband died. |

The language may not be of the best but what do you think of the concept? |

'How about if......', is a sentiment we could use on almost any situation or issue though Sharron. |

How about if you go on and on but just get put into a different container each time. |

Sheila - again, another question which one has to look at personally. |

I remember arguing about death last Autumn with a famous poster who cannot be named but whose name began with E. |

I'm not argueing theology Barney, I'm 'suggesting' that IF one had previous lives, it wouldn't be a good idea if you remembered them all whilst trying to live this one. |

I don't believe in a 'soul' - what is it anyway? And if we have one, why doesn't every ant, fly, cat, horse, elephant and gorilla etc....We are all made of the same 'stuff' Just because the human brain has evolved to give us conscience, a greater range of emotions, self-awareness and more, doesn't mean that death bequeaths us anything other than a path to dust. |

It's a theory that we have had a previous physical existence, the 'soul' returns to 'heaven' and then is 'reborn' to continue its journey... 'past life memories' are not unknown, sometimes by very young children 'remembering'...whether you believe that or not, if it was the case it would be almost essential NOT to be able to remember |

Sharron, you'll get many different answers to your question, and they will come from those with faith and those with no faith. It's probably something you will have to delve into yourself to find what is right for you. :-) |
