I'll try and do it quietly.

Got a busy day today - OH's car, the merc due to go to garage for oil leak, MOT and service. two weeks ago it cost us £100 to have the battery checked out and everything else because of its failure to start. They couldn't find anything. this morning, guess what, flat battery AGAIN so we have had to put it on charge. We are picking up a frien (in my car) to go to coffee at 10.30 we have to go food shopping and we are due to go down to Hampshire tomorrow to see the new Great Grandchild (in the merc).

It is on charge at the moment. And I can see it being exchanged for something else very shortly as we are both getting really fed up with it. Grrrrrrr!!! :-( :-( :-( :-(

I don't rust Merc garages.

Took my Smart to the dealer she came from for her first service. It took two hours longer than I had been quoted. I had left Fred on the bed at home and was left waiting with no explanation.

Nothing wrong with car apart from the track needed doing,£100 +VAT.
Don't think so.

Off to local tyre specialist. Quoted £20 +VAT.

Got the car jigged up and it didn't need doing at all.

I don't use Merc garages.

Himself backed car out one morning so trades people could use driveway.. thought it was a bit sluggish. I went to get it in later and would not start, battery was flat. Mr Wimpy shutter of the boot had not done it properly and the little light in there had been on day, night, day... this is the same little light that never works when you want to unload it in the dark.

A few days later car would not start, he had got map book out of glove box and not shut it .. there is a little light in there as well. Another day I left the doors open to let the cool air through but of course the interior light remained on ... jeez was only for half an hour... so we did replace battery.

Got in the car the other morning and it would not start .. pushed it aside and took van as we had to meet someone for lunch. Auto man came later and it was the fuel injection. OH had put vehicle out morning before, so plumber could come down drive (he never does) and brought it in later... car gets confused thinks fuel injection means it is going to go for a drive but doesn't so it flooded when he tried to start it.. I told him it was flooded and he said no newer cars don't do that. Well this one does. When I bring it in,after out all day I give it a drive around the block.. so who is the smarty pants.

I can empathise with you Glossie Ann... but it does not matter what hiccups this vehicle gets it will be with us for many years as himself would not part with it.
