Glad to help Stray.

Keep an eye on Lidl offers...... They often offer similar products just a few weeks apart.

we popped over while passing to have a look, i love a bargain,

looks like everyone else did as mostly girls things left,

the trousers were a bit thin, but would probably do for summer days,

i just got a pack of shirts as spare's, as they usually end up with white board marker pen on that doesnt come off, so will do to put away for if needed till i can go grab some more,

thanks for the heads up, :-D

I'd agree with Ann.
Most primary schools are not strict about styles etc. and at Aldi prices of 2 polo shirts for less than £2 and skirt or trousers for £1.50 each it will save children's nicer clothes for casual wear.

Secondary schools can be more demanding about uniform....often unreasonably so.

I think most schools went over to uniform for all ages. It certainly prevents the daily argument over what they want to wear, especially little girls who want to out do each other.

As a oldie with no children I find it hard to believe that primary schools want a uniform.

I loved my 4/5th year !5/16 yr old uniform which was as long as it was blue it was okay...
Surely when children are growing each year making parents buy uniform is adding to an expense that they don´t need.

Beggars belief really :-S

Aldi were selling polo shirts for men and women made from Bamboo, were £8.99 now £6.99. Got one for o.h. and he loves it, says it's really soft and comfy. Hope it will wash ok but have seen bamboo clothing very pricey at other places.

I like Aldi and Lidl stuff, not just food, I have lots of items from there and such good value

They do seem cheap Stray, but if quality is OK they might be useful extras.I like the fact that T shirts and some jumpers are 100% cotton.... They don't 'bobble' like some.

Having helped out in schools for many years, I know that children can get them quite mucky or lose them.
Always disturbs me to see a child come to school on a Monday in a dirty shirt.... No need for that in my opinion.

ALDI has some really good prices on basic uniform in their offers starting tomorrow.

Maybe useful to some...................
