	My youngest broke up on Friday but had been away for a week on a School trip so officially has been off since the 15th. They go back on the 3rd Sept.

	That's a bit late notice! The staff might well be having a weeks worth of INSET & preparation days.....or they'd already planned it and forgot to tell the parents that the children need not attend. Was there any explanation??
