I think it will be alright. As long as the 'spirit' of the show does not change.

Tamsin Outhwaite comes in around episode 7/8 and Nicholas Lyndhurst has also jouned the cast.

Look at CSI - this last 2 series with the guy from cheers (for the life me his name has just flown out of my head) and Elizabeth Shue. They have been like a breath of fresh air. Just need to get rid of Sarah Sidle character (god she is so miserable!!).

We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars, Oscar Wilde New avatar, my dad age about 3/4 months, could have been worse, it could have been the awful nude on a rug!!

We loved the programme but will miss Alun Armstrong and rest of team that's leaving . As you say wait and see :-)

The new series will be started next Tuesday 9pm BBC 1 (30th July)

So looking forward to it.

And in a funny way to the new characters. Will miss Alun Armstrong, probably more than James Bolam.
