Nearly all fantasy can be a bit tasteless sometimes.

That guy in the boat was wearing a jacket. What better way to disguise a life jacket.

It would have been very tasteless if it had been entirely real but it succeeded in shocking and getting the programme remembered.

Merlin

Merlin Report 22 Jul 2013 13:29

Stopped watching it ages ago,the content has just got rediculous as have the Presenters. It used to be good then it turned into a very uncelubrious comedy,Pity really.**M**. :-( :-(

Mayfield

Mayfield Report 22 Jul 2013 13:28

The whole thing was an obvious set up, the man it the boat the restaurant diners etc.

About as convincing as an episode of Mr Bean, but it is simply entertainment like a lot of the trashy programmes on TV that I have in fact heard highly praised on here.

Each to his own, nobody makes anyone watch it so where is the harm?

eRRolSheep Report 22 Jul 2013 13:21

I realise it is entertainment and did say in the OP that I am usually a fan but I do think that the "storyline" was somewhat tasteless this week and went a little too far.

Just because it is not real does not mean that they can do what they want.

Sharron

Sharron Report 22 Jul 2013 13:14

It is entertainment. It makes money by pandering to the fantasies of big naughty boys.

It makes enough money to pay a few actors to live up to those silly fantasies.

Jeremy Clarkeson is probably a lay preacher in real life, and no doubt the other two do immeasurable good works in the community.

Star Wars and Downton Abbey are not real either.

Thanks Kim Annette - however did you recognise me?

AnnCardiff et al - I think a lot of it may have been staged but nevertheless I think it was pretty tasteless given the tragic accident relatively recently regarding a young family and a weir.

Errol

I am with Cynthia, and gave up on them ages ago,

and cannot believe how arrogant they became , or perhaps

they always were, and I never noticed

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 21 Jul 2013 21:54

what about those people who were dining outside at a riverside restaurant - tablecloths ripped off, tables and chairs overturned and diners soaked to the skin!!! just because those three idiots were "driving" a hovervan down the river - pillocks

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 21 Jul 2013 21:53

I think they are arrogant and pandered to by others to get a show, I wouldn't be happy if I ended up in the water or soaked while having a drink on the river bank, I don't care who, they are.

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 21 Jul 2013 21:27
