What a day....My kids surprised me yet again...Birthday is actually Wednesday 24th but today was party day...2pm they all arrived with best friends from nearby and 1 from Sweden..At 2.15pm I had to go outside to the drive gates...Then came my surprise....Round the corner and up the road came the Yarnton Silver Band marching to "When the Saints Come Marching In"...I was absolutely blown away...The band swung into the drive and helpers set up music stands while they finished off the tune...Then they played 2 more songs and finished with a rousing " Happy Birthday"....After this they all settled down and joined us for birthday tea..6.20pm now and all gone.. What a fabulous day....I really wanted a band to lead my coffin to church but kids said we thought you'd enjoy it more while your alive.....What a wonderful family.....I'm so happy,I'm still getting tears......Had to share this occaision with you all ....Hope you don't mind...Regards to all......LES...

	Les I don't often post on the General board but reading your post I just had to say what a wonderful family you must have to arrange such a great surprise for you - and yes, they are right - much better to enjoy the band before you pop your clogs, lol. EDIT - forgot to wish you a "Happy Birthday". Kath. x

	Oh wow, how lucky are you. What a fantastic surprise and smashing family you have:)) My vic would love something like that too...he gets emotional at loads of things, but family, music and sport are top of the list:) Take care jude xx

	Wow Les that was a fabulous surprise for you, no wonder the tears come. You and I nearly share a birthday, mine is the 25th! I will definitely have to come and meet that amazing family of yours that I am connected to. Now I think you have your Wedding Anniversary to come next month don't you? More to look forward to for both of you, take care and keep enjoying that lovely feeling you had when the surprise started. Lizxx

	Absolutely Brilliant and so lovely Everyone can enjoy it as everyone says what a great family you have you must be very proud of them and they must think an awful lot of you and a Happy Birthday to you on Wed. As Errol says hope you got it all videoed .
