I bought an Avenger estate, in my youth, with two dented doors and reskinned them myself.

Might just as well have painted a target on the thing.

It was dented four more times, once when I was in it in a car park a man backed in to the side.

I think it must have been jinxed or something.

He hasn't always been so reasonable - getting older and not having the stress of work seems to agree with him. I'm not complaining anyway.

Thank you for the compliments, but I won't tell him - he might get big-headed!! ;-)

Years ago, parking our car while out shopping with my Mam, I hit a bollard and dented the car underneath the bumper. "Don't say anything" Mam said, "He'll not notice!"
What was the first thing he saw when he came home? He still laughs about it, though! :-D

Women and parking eh! The Mrs came back from the shops today, I went out to water the garden and fell over her broomstick!

I wish I had a husband like yours too.

When I carefully reversed between a two posts I missed them, but reversed into a low wall.

My daughters fell about laughing but he grumbled for hours about the cost of repairing the damage :-|

As Errol says - oops!

What a nice reasonable OH you have and at least you know who did the damage.

We have just this morning got our car back after its third repair in a year and all the damage was caused when the car has been parked and we were elsewhere. I'm beginning to think a black car was not a good idea - they are apparently invisible.

The first time the damage was horrendous. The whole side was bashed in and - surprise, surprise - the decorators painting the outside of the house opposite hadn't seen or heard a thing. That was so expensive we had to go to our insurance.

The second time our drive was being relaid so the car was parked in the road and a neighbour backed into it; but at least he told us and we could come to an arrangement about paying.

Then a couple of weeks ago I came out of the supermarket to find a very large dent in the rear wing. Our bank balance is now considerably lighter.

Oh well, that's our 3. There can't be anymore knocks now.........can there?

The other day I did a considerable amount of cosmetic damage to our car trying to park in a space between a concrete pillar and a wall.

The result was a nasty scrape on both the passenger door and the driver's side front bumper.

After discussion about payment (self or insurance) I asked hubby why he was being so reasonable about it all. Many men would have been anything but reasonable - women drivers etc!!

His reply? "Actually, I have considerable admiration for you. There aren't many drivers who could damage BOTH sides of the car in the same incident".
