Thank goodness I live near the coast - at least there is usually a sea breeze, and this morning the sea mist kept the temperature down.
2006 Nolls? Was probably working and summer passed me by :-D

I honestly don't remember the summer of 2006 - trying to remember what I did, but I can't at the moment - but if they say it was hot, I'll believe them!

I like the heat but I do have concerns about baby granddaughter :-( grandson can splash about if necessary.

Can't remember it being hot in 2006, in fact himself said we only had decent weather in the August in West Wales.

Wikipedia. 2006 European Heat Wave.

At 14.32 BST on Wednesday 19th July. 2006 it was confirmed that the
previous highest temperature 36c..97f at Epsom, Surrey had been beaten
at Charlwood near Gatwick Airport with a temperature of 36.3c...97.3f..
later it was confirmed that 36.5c...97.7f had been recorded at Wisley, Surrey.
