Schools break up. I will be able to go out when I like and know there will be a place to park when I get home, call the doctor to come at any time he is needed, have deliveries come at any time.

Oh bliss.

Locally they don't finish until next week.

Better check your local lists Sharron before relying on clear roads...................

The roads are perfectly clear Gwyn. No cars on the roads. They are all parked outside my house.

Fantastic - a bit of peace & quiet at the weekends now.

When we moved to our house 15 years ago, the local secondary school, which has a playground on our street. Was open Mon - Fri and was just a plain old secondary school.

Firstly they rented the premises out Saturday & Sunday schools for the local Asian communities.

Then we have had the introduction of a 6th form college. Since when did kids have Mercs. to drive?

And lastly due to the fact that the school was by now bursting at the seams (prior to the above they actually had classrooms that were never used!!). We have had to undergo 3/4 years of 'building schools for the future'. 2 new blocks built (not that well in my opinion). For at least 2 years we have been afraid to move our cars because we would end up several streets away when we come back. Great with heavy shopping etc.

Now all the the building work is drawing to a close. The roads are now empty again and the school has 2 car parks for teachers, no entry/access points in our road.

BOY AM I AND MY NEIGHBOURS LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS SUMMER HOLIDAY.
