I was cross to hear of the baby too.
So few sun canopies are seen on pushchairs these days.

My first child was born in Cyprus and we used a light-weight pram where he could be flat and cooler. We always used an old fashioned fringe canopy and I also carried cotton sheets so that we could cover him if the sun was lower and shone under the shading.
There are ways of coping with high temperatures so that babies are safe.

Poor little mite! How could anyone be so stupid as to let a baby get burned? They don't deserve to have a child, if they aren't capable of looking after it properly.

Protection from the weather is another reason I have never liked the modern buggies, with the pushchairs and prams where the baby is facing you, you can help shade them from sun, protect them from the wind and keep an eye on them at all times. Mind you most buggies do face that way for small babies.

Hope the little one will be ok and won't suffer in later life with skin cancer.

Beggars belief doesn't it that anybody could leave a small baby exposed to the sun in this heat...... :-(

I think the "any body with an ounce of common sense" is the key ............

it was reported that a 4 week old baby was rushed to hospital with severe sun sunburn any body with an ounce of common sense would no to cover the child up in this heat. and not leave out too long in this heat.
