Elizabeth Report 17 Jul 2013 09:50

I have been lucky enough to find three convicts in my history, possibly more. We came to Oz on the 4th fleet, so we have been here for ever. My problem is that they
never came with information about there family. The second person to arrive here was my grandfather X 6 Joseph Russell born Dorset around 1815, he was done for house breaking - 7 years transport. Being a shepherd in Dorset he was assigned to a
land owner as a animal handler and was making an effort to support his family when
he was bitten by a snake and died, at a very young age. Recently I was told that there was a rumor, several generations back that he was the Bastard son of a Lord.
Having no information about his birth, how will I prove this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
