Well, our Rose, that's an hour of my life I'll never get back.

Guess what - I have no leanings either way in all the tests I took so far. Haven't got to the size one yet.

I seem to be a liberal - there's a surprise.

Words cannot describe how disgusted I am with the law that allowed George (I'll keep changing my story till I get one that they may believe, oh thanks Mr Lawyer that's a good one) Zimmerman to get away with murder.

I feel sorry for the family of the lad who was shot, they will never know the truth altho in their hearts they might have certain thoughts, knowing their son/brother. I think it was wrong for Zimmerman to get a Not Guilty verdict, I think he panicked and fired but probably not self defence. With no witnesses, he could say what he wanted. I hope those jurors can live with themselves and Zimmerman too, it leaves the door open for more acts in the same vein.

that jury was 6 women :-S

5 white, 1 Hispanic

5 had children, 1 did not

ages ranged from 30s to 60s

It took 9 days to select them ................. and you can bet your bottom dollar that Zimmerman's lawyers had worked out that an all women jury would work in his favour!


Their task was apparently to decide if he was "justified in killing Trayvon" ................ and not to determine whether he had shot Trayvon.

After all, he never denied that fact.

Just kept saying it was done in self-defence, in fear of his life ............... and that is perfectly legal in Florida

That has always been the stumbling point with that trial


There were no witnesses who saw the events unfolding, only people who heard noises.

There is no-one who can say that Zimmerman truly was being attacked by Trayvon, or that he truly was in a situation where he feared injury or death, and so was justified in acting as he did.





Guess why I would never live back in the US after our one year there back in the late 60s???!!!!

I saw a journalist discussing that on the news tonight with reference to the (in my view despicable) not guilty verdict in the States against George Zimmerman.

OH keeps saying he would like to know how the jury was composed!

There was a ref' on tv about the Harvard Implicit social attitudes tests

You don't have to register, but if you do there are more tests than just as a guest... race, religion, size etc... to indicate with you have an implicit attitude which you are perhaps unaware of... for eg I apparently have a "moderate preference" for thin people lol I think it's because I want to be thinner myself?!
