A programme about single records has just started on TV. It opened with Roy Orbison "It's Over".

I was surprised how it hit me.

We played it at the crematorium at the funeral of my ex.

Just watching it now Sharron, the previous program on albums was good too as it was my 'era' , shame it's all gone.

'It's over' is a very powerful song , for many I suspect reminds them of lost loves.

You know how you don't quite know how to handle a crematorium service, whether to cry or get on with it.

Well, we were all getting up and shuffling, as you do, when this song played out.

We all knew what to do then.

Sharron, that happened at a friend's funeral, he had taken his own life and at the end the record was played that was playing when he did the deed. It's been used on adverts since then and I always worried about my friend's Mum hearing it as she watched tv and being reminded.

It's the one All by Myself by Eric Carmen. Gets me everytime.

I love most Roy Orbison songs and It's Over is a real memory jerker
