Well I have a genuine one that belonged to my gran all those years ago.

By the way I am still about.

My question is what the eck do I do with it.

It actually as far as I know belonged to my paternal Gran who gave it the parents and some how Mum ended up with it. I brought it to Spain thinking that Mum may have had a soft spot for it and I also could, being my paternal grans but I don´t really want it so what the eck do I do with it.

I had an absolutely splendid teasmaid.

We had to let her go just before we sacked the butler.

They are making a slight comeback as a retro thing and I must admit I enjoyed my Goblin Teasmaid and was sad to see her go.

My in-laws had one ................ always used it to make early morning tea.

They set it up in the evening, and it was kept it by the side of their beds (twin beds) so neither had to get up and go down stairs to make the tea.

I would expect it to have a retro value

Hello

Hope you are okay.

I remember when a teasmade was offered as the star prize
on the quiz show "Blankety Blank" with Terry Wogan. :-S

Crikey, this heat is making me feel old!

Take gentle care all
Best wishes
Elizabeth

My brother and SIL, have used a teasmade since they were married 50 years ago ...

They have lived in France for the last 20 years, and, as each teasmade breaks, a call is made to the family, in UK, for a replacement from the boot sales.

I purchased a Goblin teasmade ... with removable "kettle" and tea pot, last Sunday in Norfolk for £3.00 ...........

A posher one ... with the fixed tank and tray over was a £5.00

I am a cheapskate ...........

Edit .... Uzzi. do you not have Rastro s where you are .....

there WAS a website devoted to Tea- wakers (as they have been known)

I have one that I inherited, is still in its box with the original tea and coffee samples, sadly its not a vintage one it is only from around the 50's.

If you look at the label on the back and get the type and serial number, you might find if it has some real history....
still looking for the website,
Bob

I think we took my Mum's to a charity shop. We actually used it for a while but decided a kettle and ordinary mugs was better for us, we still make the tea in the bedroom but it doesn't wake us up
