Devon Great Consols Photos

I am wondering if in the course of their research any members have come across any photos of Devon Great Consols (19th century copper mine, near Tavistock, Devon ) I have seen most of the ones available on the internet etc, but would be most intersted to hear from anyone who has unearthed any old photos of the area.

It might be worth having a look on ebay. Trying searching 'Tavistock' in 'all categories' and see what comes up. ;-)

Pity .....I was there yesterday......could have taken a few snaps for you. there is one just past Mary Tavy on the outskirts of Tavistock going towards the moors. ......:-S

Thanks Marilyn, its old time photos I am trying to source, I grew up on Devon Great Consols and still visit it often, so present day photos are not a problem.
For such an extensive and famous mine there is very little in the way of photographs when compared to some of the cornish mines for example. I am just hoping someone may have uncovered some old photos whilst doing family research.

Well if that's the case ........next time your in Devon, best try the Barbican Antique shops there is a Postcard Unit with loads of photos on Local building in Devon !!

If I go there soon I'll take a look for you....

Thanks Marilyn, I live in Plymouth so I have checked that, but thanks for your kind offer....I feel that if there are any photos that are as yet undiscovered they will be in peoples private albums etc, photos of Devon Great Consols are pretty rare !
