Hi

Are messages i've posted emailed to an ex members after their subscription has expired?

Alternately is there available a directory of existing members?

Hi Jancsikam

If you let your paid membership lapse you are still a 'free member' so non- paying can receive messages, if GR has a current email for them, 'free' members will receive notification they have a message.

A lot of members may never have paid a subscription...I know of at least three close family members who have never paid...Ex husband , daughter and dad...only one has replied when I have sent a pm that being the husband....dad has probably changed email address since 2007 and daughter probably didn't know who Jax Chan was :-D or maybe she has changed her email address aswell??

Edit - Forgot to say welcome to the boards :-)

Hi Jancsikam and welcome to the boards

just to add, a free member/or one who no longer pays subs cannot initiate messages but can respond to any messages sent.

As Rambling Rose and Jax say it all depends on whether or not GR have an up to date email address.

Also you can see if a member has read your message because if it is unread there is a green envelope which disappears when read. :-)

I think that a lot of people on here (including myself) have sent messages that have not yet been read. It goes with the territory, I guess. Some people get bored after a while and don't bother coming back on here so much. Others wait around for ages hoping for a message. On the other hand some people do get responses within a few days. You never can tell.
Good luck & welcome to GR ;-)
