Have you tried the search trees facility to see if anyone has Ely in their tree?

you could then send them a message, bear in mind the member may no longer be active on GR but if they still have the same email addy registered with GR then they will receive notification of your message.

The chances of a relevant member seeing this post are greater than the odds of winning the lottery

I have some letters written in 1934 by Ely Simon b. 13/01/1917 which she sent to her penfriend, my father. She lived in the Auguststrasse and then the Oranienburgerstrasse in Berlin. She went to the Luisen-Lyceum. If anyone has her in their family tree, perhaps they would like to have the letters. Please let me know.
