Incidentally, the amount of RAM you have (even a phenomenally high 12 gig) shouldn't impact on how fast or slow the actual site operates

I think GR has slowed to a snails pace over the past few hours. Every time I move to a fresh page or merely refresh the page I am on, it takes for ever and a day.

Genes has been slow on and off for ages. Sometimes it won't open at and times out. Maybe thet are working on the site.

Researching:
Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

Is anyone having problems with searching I have 12 Gig of ram and I am experiencing a lag in speed when searching it seems as though genes reunited just hangs, and I have tested my speed and between 10 and 15 mb. I don't experience it with any other program.
Can you let me know
