many years ago, had to take a friend to hospital...... she had concussion........ we were playing table tennis & her partner (at table tennis, not her OH) smacked her in the head with his paddle!

The hospital staff didn't believe us. I think we were all about 17 or 18.

Dangerous game, table tennis.

:-(

First time I got a black eye, I 23 and my husband swiped me round the face with a badminton racket. It was a beauty, lasted ages.

Second time was last year, I was on playground duty, some year sixes were kicking a ball about and the next thing I know I am flat on my back. Boy did it hurt, got me right between the eyes.

I had to wear a sticky badge for the rest of the day saying " keep an eye on me. I had a bang on my head ". Didn't even get to go home early.

Sport is most definitely bad for you. M

you lot have made me giggle.

Shes gone to school although now have to take her and pick her up as she cant carry bag as back is so sore and arm in sling.

will be interesting to see how she has managed toilet is going to be the good one as her trousers are hard to pull up can see her waddling up the coridor back to her class with them round her ankles.

Luckily is her left wrist and shes right handed so will still be able to write.

Was her age when I broke my right wrist and yes it was in PE at school, ran back in rounders to catch ball and fell over a stone and fell onto concrete playground.

The doc sent me to see a physiotherapist at a sports clinic........ there I was, all 52Kg of me (ok, it was a LONG time ago) in the waiting room surrounded by great hulking Aussie Rules & Rugby players, none of them under 100Kg.

:-D
